Dr. Borges is intensely familiar with the Paso Fino industry as his family raised and trained Paso Fino’s in Puerto Rico.
Dr. Borges grew up in Isabela, Puerto Rico working at the family dairy farm and riding Paso Fino horses. Dr. Borges received his bachelor degree in animal science from the University of Puerto Rico at the Mayaguez Campus. He then worked for a year as the manager of the dairy farm before going to veterinary school at Michigan State University. He spends all of his free hours fishing offshore and participates in several billfish tournaments a year.
