Originally from Bellefonte, PA, Dr. Miller graduated from the University of Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He completed a one-year internship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. In 1998, he completed a three-year residency and Master’s program at Texas A&M University in Equine Reproduction. After his residency he briefly managed an exclusively equine reproductive practice in Oregon before moving to Ocala to work with Dr. Peloso in founding the Equine Medical Center of Ocala.

Dr. Worden was born in Tennessee, grew up in Colorado and graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. He completed an internship at Las Colinas Veterinary Hospital in Texas, a referral hospital specializing in surgery and lameness. In 2000 he moved to Miami and was employed by Tiegland, Franklin, Brokken, PA, a large racetrack practice servicing Hialeah Park, Gulfstream Park, Calder Racecourse, Delaware Park, etc. In February of 2003, Patrick moved to Ocala and joined the Equine Medical Center of Ocala. Dr. Worden is an ambulatory associate and deals with mostly training horses and sale horses.

Dr. Adams was a farrier for 8 years while obtaining his undergraduate and veterinary degrees. After graduation from veterinary college, he completed an internship at an equine hospital in Colorado. Dr. Adams then practiced for 1 year at an equine hospital in Utah, before moving to Florida to begin his surgical training. He completed his surgical residency at the University of Florida in 2005. After working in Tallahassee and Brandon, Florida as an associate equine surgeon, Dr. Adams joined Equine Medical Center of Ocala in 2006. Aric and his wife Teresa and their two children, enjoy the beautiful Florida outdoors, horseback riding, kayaking, scuba diving and fishing.

Dr. Phillips grew up in South Florida working with horses. He received both his Bachelor’s degree and Doctorate from the University of Florida. Afterwards, he completed an internship here at Equine Medical Center of Ocala. He then joined the practice and is now an owner/partner. His practice focus is lameness and reproduction.

Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Dr. Hall graduated from North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. After completing a rotating one-year internship, she was accepted into a 3 year Medicine Residency at the University of California, Davis and earned her board certification as a specialist in Internal Medicine (Diplomate ACVIM) in 2010. She then moved to Texas to work for Brazos Valley Equine Hospital as a board-certified Internal Medicine Specialist. Since joining EMCO in January 2013, Dr. Hall successfully passed the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care boards. She is one of the only equine veterinarians in the State of Florida that is double boarded in Internal Medicine (Diplomate ACVIM) and Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (Diplomate ACVECC).
Dr. Hall enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time outdoors with her husband, Adam, and their three dogs.

Originally from Salem, New Hampshire, Dr. Welch grew up showing Quarter Horses. Dr. Welch graduated from The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. After an internship at Rhinebeck Equine in New York, Dr. Welch completed a three year Large Animal Internal Medicine residency and achieved Board Certification in 2020. When not in the clinic, Dr. Welch can be found paddle boarding, tending to her houseplants, crocheting, or spending time with her husband and two dogs.

Dr. Gohman grew up in Minnesota on a small hobby farm where she developed a passion for horses at an early age. She obtained both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees from the University of Minnesota. Shortly after graduation, she moved to central Florida for a rotating internship at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala, and joined the practice as an ambulatory associate upon completion of the internship. Dr. Gohman enjoys cooking, traveling and many outdoor activities including running, hiking, water and snow skiing.

Dr. Travis Tull joined EMCO in 2020 as an emergency staff surgeon, helping Dr. Adams cover surgery and colic emergencies. He is a full time surgeon for Ocala Equine Hospital where he has been since 2017, and his ongoing efforts at both equine hospitals are a great contribution to the Ocala horse community. He has worked for Brown Equine Hospital in Pennsylvania, and then for Rood and Riddle Equine – Saratoga before coming to Ocala.
